A pendant necklace by Amami, named Julia. The rosita border is formed from nearly 100 individually placed and soldered metal granules-a process that requires exceptional precision and steady hands. Artisans selected for granulation work are often chosen for their eyesight and control. The technique is one of the oldest Filipino metalwork traditions, predating Spanish colonization.
