The pendant necklace that named the shape. 'Padumna' means 'beside' or 'adjacent' in Ilocano-a reference to the traditional placement of this bead in rosary-inspired Philippine necklaces. The flat, circular tamburin bead descends from the Spanish colonial period, when Philippine artisans adapted rosary forms into everyday adornment. The Padumna is that form in its simplest expression: one bead, one chain, and the history it carries.

• Have a friend or partner take the measurements (or a local tailor!)
• Keep the measuring tape snug but not tight, with the tape parallel to the floor for hip, waist, and chest measurements.
