A handwoven hair scrunchie in Goldenrod, handcrafted from upcycled traditional Philippine textiles in the binakol weave from Abra.

WHAT IS BINAKOL?
Binakol is a traditional handwoven textile from Abra, northern Philippines, within the Ilocos weaving tradition, known for its geometric optical patterns. Binakol uses straight lines to create the illusion of curves, spirals, and movement, a pattern traditionally believed to protect the wearer.

DETAILS
Origin: Abra, Philippines
Make: Completely handmade from upcycled handwoven fabric left over from our own production. Individually sewn. Colors are limited, as we use the fabric we have on hand.
Care: Machine wash and dry on gentle cycle

Every piece supports Filipino artisans and traditional craftsmanship.

Sizing & Fit

Sizing can vary between Narra styles, so always check the SIZING information on the individual product page first.

Most Filipiniana and Barong fabrics have little to no stretch, and fit can vary depending on the cut, fabric, and how you prefer to wear your clothes. If you're between sizes or prefer a little more ease, we generally recommend sizing up.

HOW TO MEASURE

For the most accurate fit:

Measure over the undergarments you plan to wear with the garment.
If possible, have someone else take your measurements.
Keep the measuring tape comfortably snug, not tight.
For bust/chest, waist, and hips, keep the tape level and parallel to the floor.
