Amami is a Philippine jewelry brand working within the Filipino filigree and heirloom jewelry tradition. Each piece is handmade by artisans using techniques passed through generations of Philippine silversmiths and goldsmiths.
WHAT IS FILIPINO FILIGREE?
Filipino filigree is a metalworking tradition practiced primarily in the Ilocos region of northern Philippines, with a history spanning several centuries. The technique involves weaving and soldering fine threads of gold or silver wire into intricate, lace-like patterns-handformed by a platero (Filipino silversmith). Pieces are built wire by wire, each curve and joint shaped by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Every piece supports Filipino artisans and traditional craftsmanship.

Most Filipiniana and Barong fabrics have little to no stretch, and fit can vary depending on the cut, fabric, and how you prefer to wear your clothes. If you're between sizes or prefer a little more ease, we generally recommend sizing up.
