Many excellent full color photographs—both archival and current—are featured in the book but of course these do not replace the experience of actually touching the treasure that piña cloth is.
Piña Futures: Weaving Memories and Innovations is the fourth book in HABI’s publication series of books on Philippine weaving. Other books published by HABI are: HABI: A Journey, Rara: Art and Tradition of Mat Weaving in the Philippines and Weaving Ways: Filipino Style and Technique. HABI: The Philippine Textile Council is one of the pioneering nonprofit organizations in the Philippines that focuses its efforts towards the preservation of our local Philippine weaving heritage.
