Content Writer - Part-Time/Contract - Philippines-Based Remote Position

We are looking to hire a dedicated Philippines-based Content Writer to create content for articles, product descriptions, social media content, newsletters, and our website. Compensation by experience.

The Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on related topics such as Filipiniana, weaving, clothing, and Philippine art, history, and culture. A great fit for our team would be excited to generate ideas for new content types, write fascinating pieces for our audience, and excel at proofreading articles before publication. Responsibilities

  • Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies)
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic
  • Produce well-researched content for publication online and in print
  • Ensure all-around consistency especially in tone and writing (style, fonts, images and tone)
  • Write effective and on-brand copy
  • Proofread and edit blog posts before publication
  • Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Update website content as needed
  • Coordinate with other content crafters and in-house teams to ensure standards
  • Measure impact and perform analysis to improve KPIs
  • Use search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility of a website in search results
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to make complex technical matters easy-to understand even for non-technical people (e.g. weaving)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task projects and deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Content Writer, copywriter, or similar role
  • Portfolio of published articles
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Writing content that helps drive conversions based on the organization’s goals
  • Help develop and follow an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the team to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Develop related content for multiple platforms, such as website, email, product descriptions, videos, and blogs
  • Strong grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management
  • Good time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and adapting as necessary
