Handwoven Ube Kusikus Scrunchie

Handcrafted in the Ilocos region, these hair scrunchies are woven with the traditional binakol technique displaying the popular kusikus pattern while using vibrant ube (purple) color.

Kusikus is a circular pattern known for its dizzying appearance, said to ward off malevolent spirits and strong winds. Ube, a popular ingredient from the Philippines, is a native sweet purple yam with a characteristic violet hue.

Make: Completely handmade with handwoven fabric. Individually sewn.
Care: Machine wash on gentle cycle.
